My China Lady My China Lady ventured Beneath the path of a golden moon. She crept down the winding hill Until reaching the edge of a dune. I could not cry out to her And give warning the danger ahead. Only she can comprehend The deity of the vow we said. When first I met the Lady I wanted blindly my life to end; So many tears had been cast Searching in vain for a lifetime friend. China porcelain you know Will shatter and quickly break with ease; The Lady's heart so gentle Must be guarded by silent decrees. Across the dune my love waits As I step into the sandy mist; The loneliness fades away, My lips so blessed by the Lady's kiss. © Jaymista 2001 |
